Orleans Parish School Board Meeting Minutes, 1951-1953: Arguments for Integration

This collection of pages from the Orleans Parish School Board Minute books details a variety of both explicit and implicit arguments from 1951 to 1953 for the racial integration of the public school system.

It is made clear that the segregated school system is not only discriminatory and unequal but also overly complicated, widely disdained, and an unnecessary economic hardship upon an already overburdened school system.
